What To Expect
Once you have had a Target Point Consultation, we get to work integrating your muscles!
You will lie on a massage table, fully clothed. I will monitor specific muscles by positioning your arm or leg in certain ways, and ask you to hold or resist my gentle pressure. This shows both of us how much your muscles are or aren’t talking.
Once I have evaluated which muscles are priority, I massage the associated points. These points can be tender, just like when you go to an acupuncturist and those points are tender, or when you go to a massage or physical therapist and it’s sensitive. On rare occasions, you might develop bruises. If you are not comfortable with this, please do not come work with me!
If you are having a 30 Minute 1:1 Muscle Integration Session, when I’m done working on the muscle, I will have you get up and move around. We will both take note of the changes in your movement, and how your body feels. We’ll use that information to pick up at our next Muscle Integration Session.
If you are having a 60 Minute 1:1 Muscle Integration Session or a Belt-Test/Competition Prep Clinic, we will spend more time having you practice your movement while I observe. We’ll also immediately continue to work on any muscles that need further attention. The 60 minutes gives us the opportunity to flow from the floor to the table as needed. This really enhances and expands the work that we can get done.
